  8. TimeSync is an application used to synchronize the date and time between two 
  9. PalmPilots. 
  10.  
  11. Installation:
  12.  
  13. Install TimeSync just as you would any other PalmPilot application--just open
  14. the file named TimeSync.prc using the InstallApp application that comes with
  15. the Pilot Desktop software. TimeSync should be installed on BOTH PalmPilots 
  16. that you plan to connect to each other.

  18. Operation:

  20. TimeSync is designed to be used with PalmPilotGear/TealPoint's DirectSync 
  21. Connection Kit, Gary Mayhak's HotLink connector, or any other Pilot-to-Pilot 
  22. type cable where the TX and RX pins are crossed.

  24. Simply connect the two PalmPilots together using the hardware cable.
  25.  
  26. To set the local time from a remote unit, click the "Receive Time" button.
  27.  
  28. To send your local time to a remote unit, click the "Send Time" button.
  29.  
  30. In order for TimeSync to function correctly, one must first click the "Receive 
  31. Time" button on one PalmPilot and then click the "Send Time" button on the
  32. other PalmPilot.

  34. The format of the time and date displayed on the PalmPilot match your user
  35. preferences.

  39. This application was designed as a proof-of-concept and is being release as
  40. freeware. HOWEVER, if you are using TimeSync for any business or commercial 
  41. use, please contact granddesign@mindspring.com for licensing and registration
  42. information.
